Associate Medical Director
Dr. Bowles graduated from the Kansas City University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1982. He spent ten years as an officer in the U. S. Army and was awarded FORS-COM Flight Surgeon of the Year in 1984.
Dr. Bowles trained in anesthesiology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He completed an Addiction Medicine Fellowship at the University of Florida in 2021 and remained at UF as an Adjunct Clinical Post-Doctoral Fellow until becoming the Associate Medical Director at the Florida PRN in November, 2022.
Dr. Bowles practiced Emergency Medicine for twenty-five years, serving as Medical Director, Department Chairman, and member of the Hospital Executive Committee at several large institutions. He is a member of the Federation of State Physician Health Programs, The American Society of Addiction Medicine and the American College of Academic Addiction Medicine. He is dedicated to the mission of the FL PRN to protect the public, while providing effective advocacy for participants.
